Where the Money Goes
While many of the services we secure for SKIP families and much of the service coordination we provide are reimbursed by a range of programs including Medicaid and private insurance, another large percentage of what we do must be funded by grants and contributions. Donations, grants and other fundraising activities support areas such as:
- The Julia Fund
Dedicated to getting kids off SKIP's waiting list and into services as well as providing Emergency Relief to families in crisis situations - Outreach & Communications
Includes web initiatives, public service ad campaign development for various media, e-newsletters, videos and more. - Community Building
Includes extra initiatives for SKIP families and members of the community—holiday meals, Friendly Visitors, the SKIPArt Project and more - Improved Systems for greater efficiency in delivering services
Includes technology, business applications and more - Staff Development & Retention
- Build Out & Infrastructure
- Quality Assurance
- Data Capture & Reporting
E.g., as required by changing state mandates
